Above the rye before the thunderstorm

Oil painting on canvas 12"х18" (Size with frame: 15"x21").
Realistic painting of a thunderstorm impending above the solar field. The atmosphere of work is created by application of the technique sfumato at the background, and contrasting it with the brush strokes at the foreground. As a result, this creates a feeling of icebergs floating in the sky, and carrying an air of a bad weather.
The painting is finished in summer 2016.
